Dr. Akella pays his research attention on Hierarchical Bayesian models and Bayesian Kalman filtering. In addition, he talks about several problems such as online advertising and attribution modeling, Big Data and scarcity issues, energy analytics for building energy optimization, topic modeling, and information extraction and retrieval in service centers. With online advertising and attribution modeling, he talks about credit for user commercial actions to advertisement revelation. Moreover, he portrays aggregate methods and disaggregates methods, which are used to analyze incorrect A/B testing approaches. In addition, based on Bayesian Kalman filtering, Dr. Akella will point out some similar parts on different approaches when he talks about energy analytics for building energy optimization.
